My collection of vintage doilies began years ago while living in Mobile, Alabama. A sweet, elderly neighbor was selling the home she had lived in since moving in as a young bride. She bestowed to me her collection of linens, doilies and numerous other vintage trinkets. I love all the various patterns, stains and imperfections that have appeared after decades of use. I think of Jeanette every time I rearrange these delicate doilies.
